Grant School of Public Health (BRAC JPGSPH) offer a unique opportunity to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in implementation research. This scholarship, supported by TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, aims to empower individuals from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to become leaders in public health.
About the Programme
The TDR Postgraduate Training Scholarships are designed for the 2025–2026 academic year, commencing in January 2025. This 18-month full-time MPH programme is conducted in English and emphasizes problem-based experiential learning. It equips students with the necessary skills to identify health system bottlenecks and develop effective strategies to overcome them, particularly in LMICs where such interventions are crucial.
Focus Areas
The programme focuses on implementation research related to:
- Epidemics and outbreaks
- Control and elimination of diseases of poverty
- Impact of climate change on health
- Antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases
Candidates with prior research experience in these areas will be prioritized during the selection process.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must:
- Meet BRAC University’s postgraduate admission criteria
- Hold a 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant fields
- Have proficiency in English and basic Mathematics
- Be employed by an academic or research institution, not-for-profit organization, or ministry of health in an LMIC of WHO South-East Asia or Eastern Mediterranean region
- Be under 37 years of age at the time of application
- Demonstrate a commitment to a career in implementation research on infectious diseases of poverty
Application Process
Interested applicants should follow these steps:
Apply for the Master’s of Public Health Programme: The application for the MPH programme for the 2025–2026 academic year will open in June 2024. Complete the online application at BRAC JPGSPH Admissions.
Submit the TDR Scholarship Application: Complete the TDR postgraduate scholarship application form and email it to jpgsphmph@bracu.ac.bd, with copies to humayra.anwar@bracu.ac.bd and afrin.shammi@bracu.ac.bd.
Selection Process
Candidates will undergo a rigorous selection process, including assessment through a written test and interview conducted by a panel of experts. Final selection and placement will be contingent upon meeting both the MPH programme and TDR scholarship requirements.
