The 'Nepal Health Fact Sheets 2023' outlines the commendable achievements of health programs with specific focus in the last fiscal year 2079/80.
The data presented in this report indicates the substantial progress in improving access and utilization of health services in Nepal however accelerated and tailored efforts are must according to the local needs to ensure delivery of free basic health services to all citizens as stipulated in the Constitution and to achieve the universal health coverage. Despite the progress made at the national level, reducing the equity gap among different population subgroups and leaving no one behind still remains a major challenge to us. I believe the disaggregated data presented in this report will play an important role in planning and implementation of evidence-based policies and interventions and will guide in informed decision-making.
