Introdution
The Ministry of Health and Population authorized New ERA to carry out the 2022 Nepal Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) (MOHP). Data was gathered between January 5 and June 22, 2022. The DHS Program, financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), offers financial support and technical assistance for demographic and health surveys in nations all over the world. ICF offered this assistance. The Suaahara-II integrated nutrition activity of USAID sponsored the survey's ethical review procedure in Nepal.Objectives
The 2022 NDHS's main goal is to provide current estimates of fundamental demographic and health variables. The NDHS offers a thorough picture of Nepal's population, maternity, and child health problems. The 2022 NDHS specifically gathered data on things like fertility rates, marriage, fertility preferences, family planning knowledge and use, breastfeeding habits, nutrition, maternal and child health, childhood mortality, knowledge of and behavior regarding HIV and other STIs, women's empowerment, domestic violence, fistula, mental health, accident and injury, disability, food insecurity, and other health-related issues.
